The journey to growth and healing is made up of many small steps, evolving as we go. Many small practices, be it in session safely held by another, or in meditation, or regulating our systems through breathwork practices, and keeping small promises to ourselves – all small acts that bring an inner ease and a journey towards becoming more whole and connected to one’s inner self.
Henny started the Inner Ease Practice in 2023, working both locally in person and online globally with her clients.

Compassionate Inquiry
Henny Donovan is a certified qualified Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner. Compassionate Inquiry is the healing psychotherapeutic modality started by Dr. Gabor Mate and Sat Dharam Kaur ND. Gabor says, “Compassionate Inquiry aims to help people connect with themselves in the present moment and not be dominated by the past. We all have the truth inside ourselves and with the right approach, guidance and the appropriate questions that truth is available to us. And in that truth is a liberation”.

Meditation
Mindfulness practices, pranayam, breath focus, journeying, prayer, stillness practice – all forms of meditation found around the world in different societies and cultures. However you meditate, a regular meditation practice can change one’s state and awareness and ability to create space between event and response. Henny is an experienced meditation teacher, working with groups on a weekly basis, she guides meditators through gentle loving awareness practices, body and energy attunement and on visual and heart journeys to drop into different states. Over time meditation can change how our brains function and how we experience things.

Energy Medicine
Working with energy medicine is definitely deep work and at the same time answers many questions many people have had throughout their lives. Henny has trained extensively in energetic attunement, running small and large workshops and retreats and working with individuals to balance, heal and understand their own energetic processes.

Grief, loss and transition
Our world of fast-paced, performative living can be very grief-avoidant and space for loss and transition is often squeezed out and rushed. Meeting yourself exactly where you are and knowing it is ok to be at whatever stage of grief you are, is a vital part of the process – which can be helped when held with compassion and understanding by a fellow traveller. Henny’s experience and compassion gives you a safe space to land and start to process the big transitions through loss and grief.

Breathwork
Connecting to one’s breath is one of the simplest ways to come into connection with the present moment and to know how one is actually feeling. Breath gives us the gift to alter our nervous system state, to regulate or re-energise and to start to know and recognise our own body cues. Henny’s experience as a breathwork coach and gentle guide, showing you a range of different techniques can assist greatly with everyday issues like stress, anxiety and learning how to change gear.

Deep stretch and somatic release
Talking is great – and – allowing the body to do what it does best can be a massive aid to healing and transformation. Gentle somatic release processes and deep stretch techniques can allow the nervous system to let go – not forcing a great cathartic release, which can just be more triggering, but working so the body has space and capacity to release, unwind, and gently change its state. Henny gently guides you through movement and breath sequences that allow the body to come to the place to start to transmute and integrate locked-in or frozen stress responses.
